What we do

Cleanily is, at its core, a technology platform which connects you with experiened, professional cleaners. We only work with self-employed cleaners as, in our view, they tend to make the best cleaners. So what makes a 'good cleaner'? As a recipient of cleaning services, you'll most likely want reliability, attention to detail, security and flexibility (all for a reasonable cost). If a person is able to demonstrate that they have been making a living as a domestic cleaner over an extended period of time, then this speaks volumes as to their competence in the above areas. They will be able to work autonomously to a high standard, possess initiative, and be suffiently organised to provide a consistent service. We obviously undertake rigourous background checks on all cleaners.

How it works

In addition to allocating a great cleaner to you, we also provide a flexible online payment system - so no need to worry about leaving cash or deposits. Each clean is started and finished via our app, which (assuming the time and location data is correct) queues a payment to be taken 24 hours later. This payment simultaneously pays both your cleaner and our service fee, for which you'll receive an automatic receipt and invoice via email. You can pause or cancel your cleaning at anytime with 12 hours notice (note that most services will require 1 month's notice, a minimum booking period or penalty). Importantly, we also give you access to a dedicated person with whom you can discuss any aspect of your service, over the phone, via email or SMS. With day to day cleaning, timing is often of the essence. Effecient communication is therefore essential, and so being able to receive an immediate response from someone who knows both you and your cleaner helps enormously. You are always able to get in touch with us Monday to Friday on any matter, though we will contact you proactively to assist with cover in cases of holiday or absence.
